Our newest SAN is a Dell MD3620i

It has a total 26TB of space, 18TB available (after RAID 6 + additional redundancy configured)

Our older SAN is the Dell MD3000i. It's current setup is

  • 1 of the 15 is configured as a hot spare
  • The remaining 14 are split between 2 RAID 5 sets.
  • 8 disks are RAID 5'ed for 2,600GB of usable storage
  • 6 disks are RAID 5'ed for 1,860GB of usable storage
