If your computer is acting "wonky," a good first step is reboot.  Rebooting can clear out corrupt memory, old programs running in the background, etc.  If that doesn't resolve the problem, please provide a description of the problem below.

Texas A&M Online Mentor Training

 

The College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) at Texas A&M appreciates your willingness to work with our students. Your commitment provides our preservice students an opportunity to gain experience and insight into teaching. The Texas Administrative Code requires that mentor and/or cooperating teachers receive training that relies on scientifically-based research. The CEHD has an on-line module that fulfills this state requirement. Complete the form below and you will receive account information necessary for accessing the module.

Need a piece of equipment for a few days?

We ask that all requests be submitted 3 to 5 days in advance of the date needed and only by an active member of the College of Education and Human Development (Students, Faculty and Staff).  All items will be loaned out in a (First Come - First Serve basis), although last minute requests will certainly be fulfilled pending availability, the earlier an item is requested the more likely it will be available

Communications Office Specific Requests

This form is for use by the CEHD Communications Office.

Provide the requested URL of the new site. If this is a replacement of an existing site, provide the development URL to use (e.g., mysite-dev.education.tamu.edu).
Please provide a general description of the purpose of the site and the expected audience. This information will be passed to CIS when requesting CAS authentication.

eCampus for CEHD

The university is transitioning from eLearning to a new learning management system (LMS) called eCampus. This new LMS will be available university-wide in the Fall 2013 semester. Instructional Technology Services (ITS) is now offering training on the new eCampus for all current eLearning users and other interested persons. We have arranged with ITS to have specific training sessions just for CEHD faculty and staff.

Technology Services strives to help faculty, staff, and students fulfill the strategic initiatives of the College of Education and Human Development Technology Services.   We provide support for desktop and mobile computers, network and email access, database and server functions, and technology resources for face-to-face and distance learning.

Technology Services is conducting a test of classroom or lab seating options. CEHD Students, staff, and faculty may participate in this test by coming to room 413 anytime from 9 am - 5 pm April 14 through April 18. Participants will be able to try eleven seating options and complete a brief survey

The Payroll subsystem of the Data Portal is used for internal routing of some payroll related documents between department and college level personnel.  There are two parts of the Payroll subsystem

PAR (Payroll action requests).  Used for new staff, terminating employees, changing sources, etc.) Approval of Offers. Used for new faculty.

A cleanup script runs monthly on dbweb to purge really old records (more than 5 FYs old) and update old records (more then 2 FYs old) to a "Closed"...
